Santo diving gives access to some of the world’s finest reefs and underwater caves, plus two of the world’s most accessible shipwrecks. On the reefs and in the underwater caves you can see hundreds of colourful and interesting fish.

Great reef dives can be found in most areas of the coastline. The dive operators tend to stick to the south-east coast, where you will find the wrecks of the SS President Coolidge and the USS Tucker and an area known as ‘Million Dollar Point’. Most of the wreck and reef diving is suitable for divers of any ability who have completed basic training.

There are two quality wreck dives just meters from the coastline, both highly accessible to those diving in Santo. The wrecks are American ships sunk during World War II. The SS President Coolidge is a American luxury liner that was converted to a US troop ship during the second world war. It sank just meters from the shore and is now the premium dive in Santo. Novices can dive the main bulk of the ship, whereas more experienced divers can go deeper into the wreck to look at life on the inside.

The second wreck is the SS Tucker, an American destroyer that was stationed in Vanuatu during the second world war. Unfortunately it was accidently sunk by a US mine and now it too lies just offshore, close enough to be accessible to those diving in Santo.

Diving the relatively shallow Million Dollar Point, divers can see huge areas of military war surplus that was simply dumped into the ocean when the Americans left Vanuatu at the end of the war. This Santo dive includes ammunition boxes, military vehicles and even the odd bulldozer – items which understandably make this one the most popular sites for Santo Diving

When you are looking forward to taking a cruise, you often see various cruises from one line aboard the various ships they have in operation. Take Princess cruise lines for example. There are many Princess cruise ships in operation so you may be wondering the differences between the Sea Princess cruise ship and the Golden Princess cruise ship. For one, the ships often go to different destinations. However, the ships themselves will have differences. For instance, one may be bigger than the other, there may be a rock climbing wall on one while the other has none, and other differences that may make you choose one over the other. If you’re interested in a particular ship, such as the Sea Princess cruise ship, it’s recommended that you do your research before you book so that you know what you’re getting.

Contact The Cruise Line

The better choice would be to contact the cruise line directly. If you’re talking about the Sea Princess cruise ship, call Princess Cruises and ask them what’s so special about this ship. They may tell you that the Sea Princess cruise ship is the newest ship in operation at Princess cruises, that it only visits certain ports, that it has two pools, a rock climbing wall and more. The cruise line will know all the intricacies of a ship like the Sea Princess cruise ship and they will be the ones to ask if you have any questions.

Reviews

However, the cruise line is unlikely to tell you of any problems regarding a ship like the Sea Princess cruise ship. For that, you’re better off going online to see what people think of it. Just do a search of Sea Princess cruise ship and you’ll likely get all the information you require. You should also visit Cruisebruise.com where you can find out if the Sea Princess cruise ship has had any incidents you may want to know about such as deaths, fires, etc.

The bottom line, though, is that Princess Cruise lines is one of the best in the industry so no matter which ship you choose, you’ll definitely have a great time. But if you’re still wondering, go online or call the cruise lines to find out all about the ship you’ll be traveling on so that there are no surprises and so that you know what you’re paying for. However, if you’re one who likes to be surprised, just leave it up to fate as you’re sure to enjoy your time on the Sea Princess cruise ship or any other ship within the Princess line.

As important as deciding where your cruise will take you; is selecting your accommodation on board. Always popular, cruise ship vacations have a huge range of things to do. However, we all need a retreat, so ensuring you have somewhere comfortable to head to each day is key.

Of course, you may not be spending a great deal of time in your room. A cruise is essentially a luxurious way to see a range of locations and ports. Or they were; now cruise ships play a big part of the vacation themselves; providing entertainment, internationally recognized restaurants, and even casinos. The large number of activities is seemingly only bettered by the number of cabin options available!

Whilst you may not intend to waste too much time in your cabin, it is always nice to know you have a relaxing retreat to escape to should the feeling take you… Or perhaps you just want to finish that chapter?

The first cabin type to discuss is the least expensive; Inside Cabins. Whilst not having any outside space, or even a window, these are excellent for the younger crowd who just want a “crash pad”. All fundamental needs are catered for, so these can be an excellent introduction for the first timer too.

These Standard Cabins are well appointed too; though some may not get on with having to rely only on a shower throughout their vacation.

Inside Cabins on cruise ships are also available with the addition of a window or porthole. Slightly more expensive, the view given is nothing more than the sea itself. It does of course allow you to be aware of the outdoor light.

For those wanting to have more of a sea-faring experience; Veranda or Balcony Cabins would probably be an ideal choice. These are bigger in size than Inside Cabins., and of course afford an outside space.

Couples certainly find them an excellent choice, with ample time to relax on the balcony, read or simply enjoy a glass of wine together. Private sunbathing can be done on some ships, but the balconies are not all that private often!

Next in the range are the ‘Suites’. These come in a range of their own; each with suitably grand names depending on their benefits. As well as having a greater floor space and full bathroom facilities, they also give access to larger terraces. If you really want to treat yourself, many luxury cruise ships offer a Butler service with certain Suites.

Whilst deciding which cabin type to go for, you will also need to consider the location on board. This is very much a personal choice, and each location has its pros and cons regards severity of motion, views, engine noise disruption and so forth.

The particular cabin choice you make is very important to your enjoyment of your cruise. However, life on an ocean wave is great fun, (when you don’t have to do any work), wherever you stow yourself.

Are you planning on going on a holiday to a far away land? Some of us do like to travel for hours on a plane, but no matter who you are, everyone will at some point experience what I like to call a dead leg. Sometimes it doesn’t even take that long for some people to start getting these blood circulation problems, but everyone experiences “dead leg” at some point.

So i have collated a few tips down here for you to review. Although there isn’t all that much room to, you should try walking around a bit. Every hour or so just get and walk up and down the fuselage, the air stewards won’t mind as long as you don’t get in the way of the dreaded trolley. Instead of just sitting down, you can also stand up and stretch a bit, you may get a few funny looks but this is one of the best ways to prevent thrombosis as well.

Try using some muscle relaxants, nothing major, chocolate also has this property, just don’t eat too much of it. Also bear in mind that the reason your legs fall “asleep” is because of the lack of blood circulating through them, so try to avoid crossing your legs.

Long haul flights can take quite a heavy strain on your body, and another good way to cope is actually to try and get some sleep. If you can get a good few hours sleep on a long flight, then your body will relax and shut down slightly, meaning that you don’t require to pump as much blood around your body. Sleeping does work very effectively.

If you’re looking for Las Vegas holidays, you will probably be having a long flight, make sure you get some sleep. New York holidays are very popular holidays, but a long flight is usually quite annoying, just try the above tips.

How to de-stress air travel

Traveling now a days does not have to be a hassle, but if you want air travel cheap fare you might have to work a little for it. The good thing about that is when you get the techniques down packed, you can travel wherever you want way cheaper than you have before. There are a ton of secrets that the huge airline companies don’t want you to know, this is why so many people get duped with high prices when they want a vacation.

My baggage did arrive, however, about a week later. The only problem was that the baggage from LAX came 90% emptied out. All the Christmas gifts and clothing (even my underwear)…gone. It is a known truth that the airlines do in fact subcontract the baggage returns to your address. Mine was a rather interesting experience where the man called on the phone and told me to leave a note saying it is ok that they leave my bag outside my door if I would not be home whenever they so decided to deliver my bag. This, I believe, is where the problem occurred as I would have rather just picked it up myself from their location, but rather the delivery people did not allow it. I am not sure how this came about but I did learn a valuable lesson. There are many little stipulations that airlines have in regards to getting reimbursed for stolen luggage. First, there are a few things they do not cover.

Look through aggregators such as Travelocity. An aggregator is a feed reader, which finds deals all over the internet to one site. Therefore the best deals will be on this one site. That is a great way to find discount first class air travel. Then again you can go to your local broker and get duped, but sometimes you find good deals with them. No matter what doing research will find the best deals.

Identifying your bag is another important thing to remember if you ever need to file a claim. So, always make sure your name and contact information is located on the outside of your baggage as well as inside in case the tags put on the bags should fall off and the airline needs to reach you. Take a quick picture of your bag before checking in, just in case something is broken off or torn apart during the flight. After you arrive to your destination, take a quick peek inside your bag and make sure nothing was skimmed off the top by thieves with access to your bags. Lastly, if you really do not want to check in bags and have a little extra money, you can always ship the luggage overnight via FedEx or Luggage Concierge.

I know it seems a little over the top, but everyone has preferred methods and many people actually pay the $50 or so it costs just to have that peace of mind and their baggage simply delivered to their door. One out of about 150 travelers ever have a problem with a mishandled bag last year. So if there is one thing to remember, it is always a good idea to simply take precautions with your baggage especially during the holidays and have a great flight
