A good luck at village life in Vanuatu. Aore Island is one of the smaller islands where the traditional way of life still survives. No 5-star comforts here, but the Vanuatu people were once voted “The Happiest People on Earth” which more than compensates for no air conditioning.
The video features a Welcome Ceremony by the people of Aore Island, Vanuatu for the crews of the 2007 Brisbane to Vanuatu Holiday Cruise and the opening of the Aore Island Clinic. It gives a great insight into what you can expect away from the tourist spots.
One of the highlights of my work in Vanuatu was occassional travels to the more remote parts, usually to monitor an Aid Project. I highly recommend the experience to you!
